Job Title: Electrical Estimation Specialist (Electrical Estimator)\n\nLocation: Northamptonshire\n\nJob Type: Temporary to Permanent\n\nSalary: £30,000–£40,000 per annum\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Estimation Specialist to support the successful delivery of industrial electrical projects by producing accurate, competitive, and commercially viable cost estimates. Working within process-driven environments such as manufacturing plants and utilities, you will play a key role in preparing tenders, evaluating project requirements, and contributing to business growth.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Analyse and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, specifications, and tender documentation.\n\n * Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical installation projects, including:\n\n * Power distribution systems\n\n * Motor Control Centres (MCCs)\n\n * Control panels\n\n * Instrumentation\n\n * Cabling and containment systems\n\n * Produce material take-offs and labour estimates.\n\n * Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and specialist subcontractors.\n\n * Compile comprehensive tender submissions in accordance with client specifications and deadlines.\n\n * Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and commercial considerations.\n\n * Liaise with project engineers, designers, project managers, and clients to clarify technical requirements.\n\n * Maintain estimating records and support project handovers to the delivery team.\n\n * Ensure all estimates comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.\n\nPerson Specification\n\nEssential\n\n * Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within industrial, manufacturing, process, or utilities sectors.\n\n * Strong understanding of industrial electrical installations and systems.\n\n * Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.\n\n * Knowledge of:\n\n * BS7671 Wiring Regulations\n\n * Industrial electrical standards\n\n * Hazardous area installations (ATEX)\n\n * Excellent numerical, analytical, and commercial skills\n\n * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\n\nBenefits\n\n * Competitive salary of £35,000–£40,000 per annum.\n\n * Temporary-to-permanent opportunity.\n\n * Company pension scheme.\n\n * Annual leave entitlement.\n\n * Supportive and inclusive working environment.\n\n * Ongoing training and career development opportunities.\n\n * Opportunity to join a growing and successful business with excellent long-term prospects
